Susan Keeble is based in the village of Margaretting, near Chelmsford, and coming from a family of artists, she has been painting for as long as she can remember. She uses watercolours, acrylics and oils in the work.
While there remains a strong figurative quality in her paintings, her main focus concentrates on the investigation of the light, colour and shapes in the world around her. Evoking the feel or mood of the place and seeking to express the energy and emotion of being there.
As well as painting, Susan is also a potter, creating may works in clay that shall be available to buy in the galley during the exhibition.
Susan also runs several adult art classes each week, as well as occasionally tutoring local art groups. This is important part of Susan’s life as an artist which she finds a creative process in its own right.
