Championing Local Artists
We currently have a classic ‘white box’ gallery space to display pictures and sculpture, and a shop area for smaller works - ceramics, cards, handmade jewellery…
Everything that we display is current work by artists we have a personal connection with.
Great art has the ability to encourage and inspire the human spirit, and sometimes to challenge. Our aim is that everything we display will do the first of these in some way, and we are sure that at least some of the work we show will do the second.
To keep a consistent feel and ethos we will not necessarily take every piece we are offered – but if your work isn’t right for us we can sometimes help you to find a venue for it elsewhere.
How does it work commercially?
Like all galleries, we will have costs to cover like creating the space, heating and lighting, business rates, staff costs… and that’s before we sell a single piece. Artists do not have to pay to exhibit their work with us, but we take a commission on pieces that we sell.

Please note - We are currently not looking to take on any more new Painters, Potters or Jewellery makers for the time being. We have reached our full capacity and are choosing to keep rotating the Artists we already know and whose work we regularly sell. Please don’t let that stop you from giving us a visit , ideally on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon with a selection of your work that we could consider for the future. We are not always able to reply to new Artists via email at present. We would much rather you popped in to see us in person or come and get to know us through our Friday morning Artists gathering .
2024 is now booked up for exhibitions
We are now in our 10th year of being open and as a gallery owner & Artist I would just like to thank all those Artists , carvers, potters ,textile artists, glass blowers , card makers, photographers for producing stunning pieces.
