About The Artist
Blandine Bonzi lives in a village called Bondokui in West Africa. Having been widowed at a young age, with 3 children to raise by herself. She developed her skills in tailoring and now teaches other women in need basic sewing skills. Her own textile work is made using wax printed cotton local to her village.
By selling her handmade goods she hopes to raise enough money to fund a library in her village. This she hopes will encourage children who cannot afford books to enjoy reading.
