About The Artist
Max is a well known figure in the village as well as the priest for Horndon, Orsett and Bulphan. He trained as a painter of Oils in Tooting college before becoming a teacher in mainstream secondary schools for 35 years.
He can be found sketching around the village (usually in the local pubs) or walking around with his little dog Scout always by his side. Many of Max’s artworks are of religious icons but he also enjoys drawing or painting the village, it’s people and birds too.
